What I can get from the thread topic is that your "way of using a documented API" was not successful. And this has nothing to do with the mentioned prodigies and OS safety. Of course, unless you tries to circumvent something in security mechanisms, as this way you actually make the OS less safe, please don't cheat yourself with this.
